An Armuchee man was arrested Sunday at his Turkey Mountain Road home on a felony aggravated assault charge.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Thirty-nine-year-old James Edward Ward III put his hands around a woman’s throat and strangled her.

The incident occurred in front of four juveniles resulting in additional charges of 3rd-degree cruelty to children.
