Election Day is tomorrow, Tuesday, November 7th.  Polls will be open in Trion, Summerville and Menlo from 7 AM until 7 PM.

In the City of Menlo, voters will be voting on two city council races.  For Council Seat One, the incumbent Chuck Powell is facing off against Melissa Hines.  There is a three-way race for Council Seat Two in Menlo with the incumbent Courtney Willingham facing challenges from Tim Day and Linda Wilson.

In the City of Summerville, there are two council seats that only the incumbents qualified for.  Councilmen Joe Money, Jr. and Zach Martin will retain their seats on the council.  Incumbent Councilman Rickey Hughes is facing a challenge from Gary Morgan.

In the Town of Trion, there is one contested council seat.  Incumbent Councilman Don Harris is facing a challenge from Rusty Brown.  Councilman Dustin Rosser will be on the ballot with no challenger.  There is also a contested race for Trion School Board Seat Five.  The incumbent Jeff Maddox has two challengers – Laura Chesley and Dawson Day.  The Trion Board of Education Seat Four is also on the ballot but is not a contested race.  That seat will be retained by Board Member Kari Maddux Brown.

The Town of Lyerly has no contested races and Councilman Phil Brooks and Councilman Jim Gilliland will retain their seats.
