Summerville Police responded to a call at Ingles Supermarket on Sunday.  According to a report from the police department, a vehicle had crashed into the store’s brick wall, causing considerable damage.  The driver told police that he had dropped his son off at work and thought that his car was in reverse, when in fact, the car was in drive.  The man accelerated and hit the wall of the supermarket with his 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe.  Police said that the store manager took the man’s insurance information and would be contacting the store’s corporate office.  The man was not charged in connection with the accident.
