Officials in neighboring Gordon County say that they have apprehended a “career criminal” on drug and weapons charges after surveillance and a lengthy investigation.  The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit say that forty-three-year-old Jason Allen Bagley was packaging and selling drugs and had an “assortment of illegally held” firearms at his house on Erwin Hill Road in Gordon County. 

On Wednesday of last week, deputies executed a search warrant and seized methamphetamine, Schedule II and Schedule IV narcotics, materials for the packaging and resale of illegal drugs, and an assortment of illegally held firearms including a sawed-off shotgun and other physical evidence indicative of the illegal alteration of firearms (i.e. manufacture of sawed-off shotguns).

Bagley was jailed and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of Schedule II and IV narcotics, and a host of weapons violations.

He is being held in the Gordon County Jail without bond.
