A forty-four-year-old Trion man has been missing on Taylor’s Ridge since Monday.  Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader gave an update on the search for Kevin White on Saturday night.

We have discontinued the woods search in the Taylor’s Ridge area of Chattooga County. Ground crews, consisting of four teams totaling about 40 searchers, walked the Taylor’s Ridge area south from where they stopped yesterday. We moved the search to the Mountain View area following leads of possible sightings. We appreciate everyone’s patience as crews went door to door asking for information and as helicopters and ground crews searched the area.

We continue to ask that anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kevin White to contact 911. I want to personally thank all of the crews, searchers and command center personnel for their work this week. The terrain on the ridge is some of the hardest to walk in the county. We have had some of the best rural area search and rescue teams from across the northern part of the State partnering with our local firefighters, Cert team members and other volunteers.

We will continue to search for leads and would encourage anyone who has contact with Kevin assure him he isn’t in trouble and we just need to know he is ok.
