According to a report released yesterday by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, a Summerville man was arrested earlier this month after making a drunken call to Chattooga 911.

Deputies were notified by 911 that a man had called and said that his father was having a heart attack and became extremely irate with the dispatcher.  During the course of the call, the man demanded to know what medicine to give his father and repeatedly cursed the dispatcher.

When deputies arrived the Pasture Lane, Summerville address that the call came from, the house was totally dark.  The door to the residence was open and deputies went inside.  When they entered the residence the suspect cursed at the deputies and told them to turn off the “G** d**** flashlight”.  Deputies told the man that the light would stay on for the safety of everyone, and the man became irate.  Deputies located the suspect’s father who said that he was fine and did not need medical attention.

The suspect continued to curse and berate the deputies.  When the deputies tried to subdue the man he resisted.  Officers were able to get the man under control and arrested him.

Thirty-seven-year-old Jason Von England was charged with requesting an ambulance when not reasonably needed, terroristic threats and acts, resisting arrest and unlawful conduct during a 911 call and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
