Last week, Chattooga County Deputies were called to the scene of a fight at North Ridge Estates north of Trion.  The report said that several people were involved in a fight and when deputies arrived two people were still in a verbal argument. 

One of the subjects appeared to be extremely intoxicated.  Someone offered to give the intoxicated man a ride home to break up the fight.  Later that night, deputies observed the vehicle that the two people had left in earlier, driving in an erratic manner and performed a traffic stop at the Triangle in Trion.  As deputies approached the vehicle they could hear screaming and arguing.  Deputies said that the intoxicated man from the fight earlier in the evening and his girlfriend were then passengers in the vehicle and could be heard arguing loudly with each other.  Deputies said that the subject was still highly intoxicated and arrested him.

Twenty-three-year-old William Choyce Rutledge was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
