A forty-six-year-old Walker County man was arrested in Floyd County this week after police say he assaulted someone with a log at a gas station.  Jason D. Alexander of LaFayette was said to have “picked up a log and charged” at another person at the Circle K on Shorter Avenue in Rome.  Police say that Alexander “acted in a tumultuous and violent manner toward everyone in the store before driving away recklessly”.  He was charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, and reckless driving.
