A twenty-one-year-old man was arrested on loitering and prowling charges and was found to have drugs in his possession.  According to a report released this week by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, Billy Dewayne Robinson was seen walking down Central Avenue in Trion shortly before midnight last Thursday near some property that was recently burglarized.

Deputies say that the man walked onto private property off Central Avenue and at that point, they spoke with Robinson who was hesitant to have a conversation with them.  Robinson asked what he had done wrong and deputies told him that he was on private property.

After deputies frisked Robinson, they found a glass smoking pipe.  Robinson then admitted to deputies that he was in the possession of drugs.

He was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on charges of loitering and prowling, possession of drug-related objects and possession of methamphetamine.
