Next week, the Georgia General Assembly will go into their 2024 legislative session.  Bills that did not pass in 2023 will be able to be taken up again in 2024. 

State Representative Eddie Lumsden, a Republican from Armuchee who represents all of Chattooga and a portion of Floyd County in the General Assembly, has two bills that are left over from last year that are waiting for consideration.

One of the bills has to do with cases dealing with the probate of wills to be transferred to superior court if all parties agree. The other bill would allow the GBI to submit the fingerprints of juveniles to the FBI if the child is charged with a crime that would be a felony if committed by an adult.
