Habitat for Humanity Coosa Valley Chapter will be hosting an informational session in Chattooga County about home ownership later this month.  The Coosa Valley Chapter serves Floyd, Polk and Chattooga Counties.

The informational sessions are not required, but those interested in applying for a Habitat home are encouraged to attend.  Habitat for Humanity believes very parent, every person, should have the decent shelter they need to thrive. The families who partner with Habitat to build and improve places to call home come from a variety of backgrounds and are selected from Chattooga, Floyd and Polk Counties.  Each family selected participates in the building of their home.

Residents of Floyd, Chattooga and Polk counties who meet the basic requirements and income eligibility guidelines can apply. Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley serves families who are unable to buy a home through existing affordable housing options, but who are able to make consistent mortgage payments and who are willing to become a working partner with Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley.

The informational session in Chattooga County will be held on Thursday, January 26th at 6 PM at the Chattooga County Civic Center on Highway 48 in Summerville, across from Truist Bank.
