Additional details have been released regarding the arrest of a Rome man on December 22 in connection with armed robberies in North Rome and West Rome.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Fifty-three-year-old Edward Louis Crowder robbed the North Broad Food Mart on December 4 by pointing a firearm at the clerk and demanding money from the cash register.
On December 18, Crowder robbed the Redmond Food Mart using a fake, plastic rifle.
The following day, he robbed the Chastain Regency liquor store on North Broad Street at gunpoint, taking $700 from the register.
Crowder remains jailed without bond on four counts of armed robbery, three counts of aggravated assault, single counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and a probation violation.
