A forty-seven-year-old Washington state man died in a skydiving accident in Northwest Georgia last Thursday and the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the man’s death.  According to reports, the victim landed in a field near Grady Road near the Polk County Airport. Nicolay Grushmin was the name of the victim according to Polk County authorities.  In a statement released to the Polk County Standard Journal, a spokesperson from the FAA says that the FAA investigates the packing of the main and reserve parachutes, and the rules of flight for the pilot and aircraft when investigating skydiving accidents resulting in deaths. It does not determine a cause.
