On Thursday of last week, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced the appointment of several people to state boards, including a Northwest Georgia woman who is an employee of AtriumHealth Floyd.

Heather Bohannon is the ambulatory quality program leader for Atrium Health Floyd was appointed to the Georgia Board of Nursing.

Before joining Atrium Health, Bohannon was the practice manager at Harbin Clinic — Singh Internal Medicine in Rome. She began her career as a triage nurse before transitioning to more administrative and managerial roles. Bohannon is a licensed practical nurse and a certified professional coder.

She served on the Harbin Clinic Health Technology Committee from 2016 to 2019.
