The Chattooga High School Welding Team recently competed in the Region SkillsUSA/AGC Skills Challenges.  The welding fab team won the MTI welding competition.  The team consisted of Evan Fletcher, Gavin Collier, Gunner Henderson and Connor Ray.  The team also place first in the written portion of the state qualifying event.

Each competitor now advances to state at a competition that will be held in Atlanta February 22nd – 24th.

Chattooga High School will also have four other students competing in metal working display.  Those students include: Kendra Herock, Angelina Brown, Evan Stephens and Parker Powell.

The team is currently raising funds to pay for hotel and meals for the competition.  Any business or individual interested in helping out should contact Welding Instructor Carter Woodall at Chattooga High School.
