The Chattooga County School System is currently looking for a school superintendent after the announcement by Dr. Dwight Pullen that he would be leaving the system at the end of his contract this month.  Now, the schools system’s assistant school superintendent has announced her resignation.

Chattooga County Board of Education members learned on Thursday evening that Ms. Emily Bolton, who serves as assistant superintendent and curriculum director, will be retiring.  At last week’s board meeting school board members learned that Mr. Mitch Williams, the iterim school superintendent appointed in May, would not accept the job of school superintendent if it were offered to him.
