On Wednesday, June 15, 11 a.m. Georgia Highlands College will break ground on the new student center scheduled to open in fall of 2012.

The center is funded through a joint public and private venture. Participants will include Randy Pierce, GHC president; University

System of Georgia Chancellor Erroll Davis; Willis Potts, chair of the Board of Regents; Clarence Brown, Bartow County Commissioner; Paul Battles, representative from the 15th district, Georgia General Assembly; Barry Loudermilk, senator from the 52nd district, Georgia General Assembly; Bill Heath, senator from the 31st district, Georgia General Assembly; Christian Coomer, representative from the 14th district, Georgia General Assembly; David Caswell, chair, GHC Foundation Board of Trustees.
