A Cedar Bluff man was air-lifted for treatment following a single vehicle accident Monday night on Alabama Highway 9. Alabama State Trooper reports indicate the wreck happened at 8:15pm near mile marker 267 and involved a 1994 Chevy driven by 42 year old David Earwood.

Cedar Bluff Police and Fire Units, along with state troopers  responded to the scene and quickly set-up a landing zone at the Cedar Bluff School football field; Earwood was transported from the scene of the accident to the football field and then flown to Huntsville.

No additional information has been made available regarding his condition. The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
