A thirty-eight-year-old Chattooga County woman was arrested on February 15th after deputies were called about an ongoing domestic dispute on Railroad Circle in the Pennville Community.

When a responding deputy arrived on the scene he talked with the person who had called 911 who told him that two people were arguing in the back room of the residence.  When the deputy knocked on the back room door, a male came to the door and said no arguing was going on.  However, the deputy knew that the woman involved in the dispute had a warrant for her arrest for child support.  The deputy ordered the woman out of the room and she tried to get out the door of the residence, but the deputy was able to grab the woman by her jacket and get her in handcuffs.

On the way to the jail, the woman banged her head on the patrol car seat divider and once at the jail, the woman started banging her head on a concrete wall.  Deputies placed the suspect in a restraint chair for her own safety.

Thirty-eight-year-old April Michelle Shaw was charged with the outstanding warrant for child support and for obstruction of law enforcement.
