A thirty-seven-year-old Chattooga County man was arrested last week during a traffic stop after deputies received a complaint about a domestic incident on Memorial Drive.  According to a report released on Tuesday of this week, deputies received the complaint and stopped the suspect on Simmons Street.  While deputies detained the suspect at the traffic stop, a deputy went and spoke with the complainant in the domestic incident.  The complainant said that David Lawson Harrison, Jr. was drunk and began arguing with her.  At one point, he allegedly picked up a piece of yard furniture and hurled it at the complainant’s vehicle.  The deputy traveled back to the scene of the traffic stop and Harrison was placed under arrest.  Deputies say that Harrison was visibly intoxicated and had an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop.  He was charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, driving without a license, DUI for alcohol, open container of alcohol and driving offenses and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
