
A Summerville Police officer on patrol on Sunday afternoon noticed a storage unit that appeared to have been broke into. According to a report from the Summerville Police Department, Lieutenant Philip Cox was on patrol on Commerce Street near the Circle K Convenience Store. Cox noticed that the chain link fence around Benny’s Storage Units appeared to have been cut. On closer observation, Cox could see that someone had cut the fence and that two storage units had been broken into. Chattooga 911 notified the renters of the storage units about the break in. At the time of the report, there was no list of items that may have been missing from the units and the incident has been turned over to an investigator.
