Tomorrow, GP Federal Credit Union is sponsoring the Chattooga River Group’s third-annual Chattooga River Fest.  Each year the festival that celebrates the Chattooga River in Northwest Georgia moves to a different municipality in Chattooga County on the river.  The first year, it was held in Lyerly, last year in Trion and this year in Summerville.  There are a host of events planned for River Fest which is also being combined with fun at Dowdy Park, sponsored by Summerville Main Street.  Then on Friday night, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band will be playing for a downtown block party.  The river and competitive events and the block party require tickets but events at the park are FREE.  Visit www.chattoogarivergroup.org for more details.
