The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office has released a report about a forty-year-old man who was arrested earlier this month after a domestic incident on Rena Street in Summerville.  According to the report, deputies were called by a woman who said that the suspect was “trying to beat the door down” at her apartment.  When deputies arrived on the scene, the suspect had left in a green Nissan truck.  Deputies spotted the truck a short time later on Underwood Dairy Road.  When deputies approached the driver, they could tell that he was intoxicated.  William Patrick Scoggins was arrested and charged with criminal trespass in connection with the domestic incident and was additionally charged with DUI for alcohol and open container of alcohol and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on June 13th.
