Shawn Peek has been hired as the defensive coordinator and strength and conditioning coach at South Pittsburg High School in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. The school is located just a few miles across the Alabama-Tennessee state line.  Peek is the former head Coach for Chattooga High School. 

It’s Peek’s second defensive coordinator stint with the Pirates, previously serving in that role from 2015-19. Peek was a defensive assistant coach last season at Dade County High School in Trenton, Georgia.

Peek is a Pisgah, Alabama, alum and is the only coach to serve as the head coach at three different Jackson County, Alabama, schools.  Peek retired from the Alabama educational system in 2015.

He served as head coach at Chattooga from 2020-2022.
