From 1947 -1980 the Tooga Theatre was on a thriving block downtown as shown in this late 50s Rodeo Parade picture. The history of the Tooga and plans for a possible rebirth as a place for community events will be the subject of the their meeting today at 2 PM at the historic Summerville Depot, located on East Washington Street in Summerville.  Meetings of the Chattooga County Historical Society are free and open to the public.
