A thirty-year-old Chattooga County man who has had several run-ins with the law over the past month is said to have ran from Walmart last week in order to avoid arrest for shoplifting by law enforcement.

A report from the sheriff’s department says that Brandy Tyler Hullett pushed a buggy out of the local Walmart in Trion without paying for any of the items.  When Walmart employees tried to stop Hullett, he left the buggy and ran to the Murphy gas station where he jumped in a car that sped off.

Chattooga County Sheriff’s Deputies and Trion Police tracked Hullett down to a residence in Trion.  When Trion police pulled up at the residence, Hullett ran inside and locked the door.  Another person inside unlocked the door and Hullett was placed under arrest for shoplifting and obstruction of law enforcement.  He was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on Monday.

On Wednesday of last week, Hullett was arrested again.  This time in Floyd County.  Floyd County Police say that Hullett was in possession of methamphetamine and had an active warrant from the Acworth Police Department.
