Municipalities all over the state have struggled to keep employees as better-paying jobs are plentiful right now.

In fact, the Georgia Department of Labor says that there are more jobs available in Georgia now than at any other time in history. The City of Menlo is trying to be proactive in employee retention and recently voted to give pay raises to three city employees.

The Menlo City Council approved the pay raises at their last meeting, saying they will review the city’s employee handbook and discuss the handbook at the city’s next council meeting.
