Summerville Police were called to a West First Street address this past week in reference to a theft.  The responding officer met with the complainant who said that someone had thrown a rock through the window of her daughter’s car overnight and stolen items from the back seat.  The stolen items included a Northface backpack containing school work, Apple Airpods and a Vera Bradley lunch box.  The driver’s side window on the vehicle was shattered and a rock was found in the floorboard.

The next day, the items missing from the vehicle were found on Cox Street.  They had been dumped in the grass next to an abandoned building.  Police photographed the items and turned them over to their rightful owner.

The next day, the victims brought the items back to the police station in Summerville because they had discovered what appeared to be drops of blood on the backpack and the lunch box.  The items were turned over to the police and the investigation into the incident continues.
