The 2024 Presidential Election will be held 63 days from today and local political parties are gearing up to campaign for their party’s candidates.  Chattooga County Republicans will be hosting a meeting coming up on Thursday of this week. According to a post on social media, local Republicans say that they are looking for volunteers to “help with sign-waving in our county”.  The local GOP meeting will be held September 5th at 6 PM at the Chattooga County Senior Center.  Local Democrats will be meeting on Monday, September 16th.  Party Chair Cynthia Hubler says that local Democrats will be writing post cards in support of Democrat Shawn Harris who is running against Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene for U.S. Congress. That meeting will also be held at the Chattooga County Senior Center at 6 PM.
