
Due to the predicted impact of the remnants of Francine, forecasted by the National Weather Service for Chattooga County, the competition portion of the Summerville Steam Chili & Brunswick Stew Cook-Off has now postponed to September 28 and will be part of the festivities of the Cowboy Western Heritage Festival.
The arrival of the TVRM Passenger Train for Saturday, September 14 is still scheduled for around 1:00 p.m. to be followed by the working of the Summerville Turntable. A wide variety of artisans, food and craft vendors will be located inside of the Summerville Depot during the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for a special market in celebration of the train arrival. The public is invited to shop a variety of handcrafted arts & jewelry, hand sewn items, vintage items, homemade breads in a variety of flavors, jams, bar-b-que, wings and more.
