The University of Georgia (UGA) Cooperative Extension’s Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is making a significant impact on the lives of families across Georgia by offering essential nutrition education and promoting healthier lifestyles. This initiative aims to equip low-income individuals and families with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed food choices and improve their overall health. The EFNEP program, which has been a cornerstone of UGA’s outreach efforts for decades, provides hands-on learning experiences that cover a range of topics, including meal planning, budgeting, and cooking skills.  Faith DeBerry has joined the Chattooga County Extension Office as the EFNEP Program assistant.  She is a graduate of Trion High School and is currently attending Georgia Highlands College.  To learn more about the EFNEP program in Chattooga County click HERE
