The City of Summerville will begin construction on the replacement of the sewer line on Economy Street.  This process will consist of 3 phases:  the first will be the replacement of the sewer line from Hwy. 27 to Georgia Ave.  Economy Street will be closed starting September 13 and will remain closed for approximately 2 weeks.

Second phase:  The replacing of the sewer line on Economy Street from Georgia Ave. to West Washington.  This phase will begin when the 1st phase is completed and the roads are opened and passable.  This phase will require Economy St. from Georgia Ave. to West Washington St. to be closed for 2 weeks.

 The third and final phase will require Economy St. from West Washington St. to First St. to be closed for approximately 2 weeks.

The City of Summerville request that these roads not be traveled if possible, only for business travel only.  All other traffic will be detoured around construction areas.
