On Wednesday, November 13,2024 around 8PM, the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force (DTF) was attempting to make an arrest on a subject, for Trafficking Methamphetamine in Chattooga County, at the Dollar Store in the Gore area. The driver later identified as Amar Diablo Bodrick, 43 year old of Rome, Georgia, was driving a gold Chevrolet SUV when he fled the scene, ramming a DTF vehicle causing damage to the front of the vehicle.

Bodrick traveled  onto highway 27 through the Dollar Store parking lot and turned south heading towards Floyd county.  DTF vehicles followed by suspect with blue lights and siren activated. Offender failed to stop and travelled at a high rate of speed and abruptly made a  U-turn at the Gore firehall. Bodrick then travelled north on highway 27 when the driver struck another DTF vehicle causing minor damage to it. At one point Bodrick slowed slightly and push a male passenger out of the vehicle that was unaware of the criminal activities the driver was involved in.

Agents say that Bordrick then threw four bags of Methamphetamine out the window and a black bag that contained Cocaine and other drugs and paraphernalia. At this time the offender continued to flee from Agents and the chase was joined by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office and continued into Summerville. Summerville Police assisted by deploying spike strips which disabled the vehicle by flattening three tires which subsequently ended the chase in downtown.

Agents arrested the driver and he was transported to the Chattooga County Jail.

Amar Diablo Bodrick was charged with the following charges all Felonies: Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to distribute, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of schedule 1 THC, 5 counts of Aggravated Assault, 4 counts of Obstruction of an Officer Possession of Marijuana and Possession Marijuana with intent to distribute. Offender is housed in Chattooga County jail at this time without bond.
