Grady Jay Crabb, a resident of Menlo, has been indicted by a Chattooga County Grand Jury on multiple charges related to an April 2024 collision on Highway 114 that resulted in serious injuries to several people.

Crabb, residing at 107 Ralph Chamlee Drive, faces a total of five counts of serious injury by vehicle, two counts of driving under the influence, one count of second-degree cruelty to children, failure to maintain a single lane, and failure to wear a seatbelt. The indictment stems from an April 18th crash which left Anna Ledford with severe injuries, including significant damage to vertebrae and rib bones, and rendering one of her lungs useless, according to prosecutors. Ryan Ledford reportedly sustained injuries that left his knee and wrist incapacitated. Hudson Ledford, a minor at the time of the incident, was also injured in the collision.

According to the indictment, Crabb was allegedly driving under the influence of multiple substances, including THC, methamphetamine, amphetamine, and diazepam, to the extent that it impaired his ability to drive safely. Furthermore, court records indicate that Crabb failed to maintain a single lane while operating his vehicle, which contributed to the collision. He was also reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The case is expected to proceed to trial in the coming months. Due to the severity of the charges, particularly the counts of serious injury by vehicle and child cruelty, Crabb could face prison time if convicted.
