An upper-level trough over the eastern US is channeling a constant stream of dry northwest air over Georgia. Wednesday will see temperatures starting in the mid to upper 40s before climbing into the 70s, with mostly clear skies. Surface winds will be breezy from the northwest at 10-15 mph, with gusts potentially reaching 25 mph during the afternoon and early evening. Relative humidity is expected to drop to the 20-25% range. Officials are likely to issue a Fire Danger Statement for Northwest Georgia. Residents are advised to avoid outdoor burning and to take extra precautions to prevent accidental fires. Looking ahead, forecasters are also monitoring a potential for severe weather in the Southeast early next week.
