The Walker County Board of Commissioners will hold their regular meeting on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 6 PM at Courthouse Annex III, 201 S Main Street, LaFayette. The meeting will also be streamed live on the county’s Facebook page. The agenda includes important items such as resolutions and purchase orders related to county infrastructure and services.

Commissioners will review a resolution to amend the Fiscal 2025 County Budget. Infrastructure improvements are a focus, with a resolution proposing participation in the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Local Bridge Replacement Program for repairs on East Armuchee Road. Also, commissioners will vote on appointing Randy Pittman as the Chair of the Walker County Planning Commission. Another focus is equipment needs for the Public Works Department, with commissioners considering a measure for new dump trucks funded by the 2020 SPLOST. Walker Rocks Park expansion will be considered with a new playground and  pickleball courts. The agenda also includes several purchase orders for various expenditures.
