The Friends of Sloppy Floyd State Park are inviting outdoor enthusiasts to explore the park’s fascinating history and unique geology on a guided hike to the Marble Mine on April 5th at 10:00 AM. This moderately strenuous 1.5-mile hike, led by park rangers, will delve into the geological wonders and rich history of Sloppy Floyd State Park. Participants will learn about the formation of the park’s iconic landscape while venturing along the Marble Mine Trail. Hikers should meet the rangers at the park office before embarking on this informative and engaging trek. Participants are advised to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water for the journey.
