Chattooga County residents will have the opportunity to take charge of their health at the Chattooga County Health Fair, scheduled to take place tomorrow, April 12th, at the Chattooga County Ag Center, located on Middle School Road in Summerville. This free community event promises a comprehensive range of health services and wellness information, with over 30 local vendors participating. Attendees can benefit from a wide array of resources designed to promote preventative care and overall well-being.

The Health Fair will feature vital health screenings and wellness resources, including checks for cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and Body Mass Index (BMI). In addition, residents can access HIV testing, prostate and colorectal cancer screenings, hands-on CPR training, and skin cancer screenings. Stroke assessments will also be available. For community safety and preparedness, the Health Fair will provide free COVID-19 test kits, free Narcan training and distribution. Participants can also take advantage of foot screenings and nail trimming, as well as vision and dental screenings. Beyond preventative measures and screenings, the Health Fair will also offer free food distribution to help address food insecurity within the community.
