Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to fill a seasonal Naturalist position at James H. “Sloppy” Floyd State Park in Chattooga County. This is a fantastic opportunity for nature lovers to share their passion for the outdoors with park visitors and contribute to the preservation of Georgia’s natural beauty.

The six-month seasonal role will involve a variety of engaging responsibilities, including leading guided hikes and tours, conducting informative nature and campfire programs, and organizing recreational activities for visitors of all ages. The Naturalist will also be responsible for leading Jr. Ranger Camps, developing promotional materials, and participating in community outreach efforts. A portion of the job will also involve trail maintenance. The position offers an hourly rate of $11, with a 40-hour work week.
