Berry College will mark a significant milestone in its history at the May 10th commencement ceremony, celebrating both the achievements of the graduating Class of 2025, the largest in the college’s history, and the distinguished career of President Steve Briggs, who will retire after nearly two decades of leadership.

Approximately 550 undergraduate students will receive their diplomas at the ceremony, scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Gates will open at 8:00 a.m., with early entry at 7:30 a.m. for those requiring special assistance. President Briggs, who has served as the college’s eighth president since 2006, will deliver the keynote address. A passionate advocate for higher education, Briggs has led Berry College with unwavering dedication to its mission of educating the head, heart, and hands. His tenure is distinguished by a focus on academic excellence, providing students with meaningful hands-on experience, and fostering their personal and professional development.

The graduating Class of 2025, who began their college journey in the fall of 2021 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, embodies the resilience and unwavering spirit that Berry College strives to cultivate. Representing a diverse range of academic pursuits, graduates have earned degrees in fields such as animal science, exercise science, nursing, psychology, biology, and communication, showcasing the breadth of opportunities available at Berry College.
