Blood Assurance and Chattooga County EMA / 911 are teaming up for a blood drive to be held at 170 Farrar Drive in Summerville on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 10 AM until 3 PM. In an effort to encourage blood donations, Blood Assurance is offering a $20 eGift card to all donors who participate in the drive. Donors are encouraged to sign up for the event by visiting www.bloodassurance.org/ahfloyd4 or calling 1-800-962-0628.

To ensure a smooth donation process, Blood Assurance offers the following tips:

  1. Eat a good meal before donating.
  2. Avoid energy drinks, as they may interfere with the donation process.
  3. Bring a valid ID with you to the event.
  4. Drink extra water to stay hydrated.
