The Community Resource Center (CRC) of Chattooga celebrated a resounding success with its inaugural “Dancing With Our Stars – Chattooga Style” event, raising an impressive $58,769.25 for much-needed operating expenses and renovations.

CRC Chattooga’s Angie Hutchins expressed immense gratitude for the community’s support, describing the show as “an amazing experience.”

“It shows that when people unite for a common purpose, great things can happen,” Hutchins stated. “We want to thank our sponsors, dancers and choreographers, and the many volunteers and other partners for making this an unbelievable first event to ‘Fight Hunger and Feed Hope!'”

The funds raised are crucial for the CRC, which serves as a vital hub for neighbors in need throughout Chattooga County. Beyond its well-known role as a food bank, the Community Resource Center offers a wealth of additional resources.

“At the Community Resource Center, we care about our community,” the organization emphasizes. Services include a free clothes closet brimming with clothing, household items, baby essentials, toys, and more. The CRC has also recently launched “Resource Navigation,” a program designed to assist individuals with needs that extend beyond food and clothing, aiming to empower neighbors “not just to survive but to thrive.”

The overwhelming success of “Dancing With Our Stars – Chattooga Style” highlights the strong community commitment to supporting the CRC’s multifaceted mission.
