A bridge to recovery, healing, health, and well-being is what Bridge Health provides to thousands of people each year in the Northwest Georgia community. Formerly known as Lookout Mountain Community Services, Bridge Health offers no- and low-cost mental health, substance use, and disability services to the citizens of Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, and Walker Counties.
Regardless of a person’s ability to pay, and especially for those without health insurance coverage, Bridge Health delivers compassionate, comprehensive care through a team of dedicated professionals who are fully invested in the successful outcomes for the people they serve.
The impact of Bridge Health’s work is evident in the lives of the people they help. Since they rely mostly on Medicaid and Medicare funding, which comes from tax dollars, Bridge Health is careful to be a good steward of the funds used to provide these essential services. They run very efficiently and have much lower overhead compared to most healthcare entities, allowing them to funnel the vast majority of funds toward direct client care.
Bridge Health’s work provides a path for recovery and self-sufficiency for the people they serve. However, they could use the community’s help to cover expenses that are not typically covered through traditional funding streams. With the added challenge of inflationary demands, Bridge Health sometimes struggles to meet the basic needs of their clients.
To help support Bridge Health and the people they serve, the community is encouraged to attend an event at Jefferson’s in Summerville on Thursday, August 7th, from 5 to 9 PM. By mentioning “Bridge Health” or C.A.R.E.S. when ordering, 20% of the proceeds from your meal will be donated to help those served by Bridge Health and the CARES Foundation.
Together, the community can help Bridge Health continue to be a beacon of hope for those in need of mental health, substance use, and disability services in Northwest Georgia.
