Trion Police Chief David Gilleland announced on Monday that the Town of Trion’s annual Halloween Walk will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, starting at 5:00 p.m. The adjustment comes due to a scheduling conflict with the Trion Bulldogs home football game against Bowdon, which is set for the traditional Halloween night, October 31st.

The decision to move the popular community event was made to ensure the safety of all participants and to manage potential traffic congestion around the football field area.

“Due to our Trion Bulldogs having a scheduled Home game against Bowdon on October 31st, we’ve decided to move our annual Halloween Walk,” Chief Gilleland stated. “The safety of our residents, especially our children, is our top priority, and we believe this change will allow everyone to enjoy both events without undue risk.”

Chief Gilleland emphasized several key safety measures and community guidelines for the rescheduled walk:

  • Crosswalk Utilization: Attendees are strongly urged to utilize the designated crosswalk located in front of the football field when entering the event area.
  • Traffic Director Compliance: All participants are requested to adhere strictly to the instructions of traffic directors who will be on duty to manage vehicle and pedestrian flow.
  • Respect for Homeowners: Participants are asked to be respectful of all homeowners in the area, particularly those who may not be participating in the festivities. Residents are reminded to respect privacy and refrain from disturbing private property.
  • Strict Curfew: A strict 9:00 p.m. curfew will be enforced for the Halloween Walk. Police will stringently monitor and enforce this time to ensure a timely and orderly conclusion to the event.
