Trion First Baptist Church, a cornerstone of the Trion community with a history deeply interwoven with the town’s industrial past, is preparing to welcome congregants and visitors alike to its annual Homecoming service tomorrow, Sunday, August 17th, at 11:00 AM.

The special service will feature guest speaker Rev. Mike Woods, along with uplifting special music. Following the service, all attendees are invited to a fellowship lunch in the church’s fellowship hall, providing an opportunity for community and connection.

As the church gathers for this cherished tradition, it also marks years of continuous ministry, a journey that began in the mid-1800’s. Founded initially as the Trion Factory Baptist Church, its origins are inextricably linked to the Trion Factory, later known as Mount Vernon Mills. This textile mill was not just the town’s largest employer but also the primary economic driver, shaping the lives of generations of Trion residents. For these mill workers and their families, the church swiftly became a central hub – a place of worship, solace, and community gathering.

Under the leadership of Pastor Casey Bramlett, Trion First Baptist Church continues its mission as a vibrant spiritual center. Everyone is warmly invited to attend Sunday’s Homecoming service and experience a piece of Trion’s living history.
