Visitors planning to attend the 2025 Chattooga County Agricultural Fair should prepare for significant changes, particularly regarding parking and entrance procedures. Fair organizers have announced a completely new parking location and entry point, situated approximately 100 yards farther down Highway 100 from the previous entrance near Summerville Middle School.

The move aims to provide a much-improved experience for fairgoers, according to Tim Brunson, Chattooga County Public Works Director. “We are improving the parking area right now. It’s a lot bigger parking area,” Brunson stated. County crews were deployed earlier this week to prepare the new site, undertaking tasks such as clearing trees, adding gravel, and constructing the new entrance. Fairgoers will be guided by clear signage and dedicated parking attendants to the updated location.

The former entrance at Summerville Middle School will now be exclusively designated for livestock participants, fair volunteers, and emergency personnel. The new parking site, secured through a lease agreement with a local landowner, boasts a spacious field designed for efficient, one-way traffic flow. Visitors will enter directly from Highway 100 and exit via Laser Lane, a small dirt road that connects to the Summerville Industrial Park, located behind Mohawk Industries.

The 2025 Chattooga County Agricultural Fair is scheduled to run from Thursday, August 21, through Sunday, August 24, promising four fun-filled days of attractions and activities for all ages.
