There’s Hope for the Hungry, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating food insecurity, will host a free food distribution event this Wednesday, August 20th, at South Summerville Baptist Church. The initiative aims to provide much-needed support to families facing hunger in the North Georgia region.
Community members are invited to receive assistance from 10 AM to 1 PM. South Summerville Baptist Church is conveniently located on Highway 48, just past Mason Funeral Home.
There’s Hope for the Hungry operates with a dual mission: to feed the hungry and spread the Gospel. Their impact in the past year alone highlights the significant need and reach of their efforts. In the previous year, the organization served a staggering 69,261 people and provided food to 28,805 families. Among those who received aid were 19,657 children and 14,104 senior adults.
Overall, the nonprofit distributed an impressive 482,139 pounds of food, making a tangible difference in thousands of lives.
Those in the community facing food insecurity are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. No identification is required to receive food assistance.
