The Anna Shaw Children’s Institute is set to host the 10th annual North Georgia Autism Conference on Friday, October 24, at the Dalton Convention Center, located at 2211 Tony Ingle Parkway in Dalton.

This year’s milestone conference will feature acclaimed keynote speaker Elizabeth Bonker, an international advocate for Nonspeakers with Autism and the founder of Communication4All. Bonker gained global recognition in May 2022 when her powerful valedictorian commencement address at Rollins College went viral across social media platforms.

Lindsey Coker, educational resource coordinator at the Anna Shaw Children’s Institute, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event. “We are excited to continue our mission in providing a well-rounded conference with presentations to help increase functional skill development and decrease behavioral challenges to ensure individuals with autism can live enriched, successful lives,” Coker stated.
