From practical gardening solutions to culinary delights and creative crafts, there’s something to spark everyone’s interest on Saturday, August 22nd, and Sunday, August 23rd.

Saturday, August 22nd, Highlights:

2:30 PM – Beginning Book Folding: Join Rebecca Kennedy for an introduction to this soothing hobby. Participants will learn basic folding techniques and leave with a book they’ve transformed into a unique piece of art.
4:00 PM – Grow Bag Gutter Garden System: Melanie Morris will demonstrate her innovative raised grow bag gutter growing system. This presentation is perfect for those looking to eliminate bending and weeding, showcasing how a rain gutter irrigation setup efficiently delivers water directly to plant roots. 5:30 PM – Seasonal Southern Charcuterie: Stephanie Yarbrough, Chattooga County 4-H Program Assistant, will guide attendees through creating a visually stunning and delicious seasonal southern charcuterie board. Sunday, August 23rd, Highlights:

2:30 PM – Growing Solutions with Native Plants: Horticulturist Logan Money will explore the world of native plants, clarifying what truly defines a native species in Georgia and offering practical advice on how to incorporate these beneficial plants into home landscapes.
4:00 PM – Mozzarella Cheese Making: Katie Carlson Bandy of Sunset Creek Farms will provide a captivating farm-to-table demonstration, teaching attendees her process of making fresh mozzarella cheese from wholesome goats’ milk.
5:30 PM – Ice Cream in a Bag: The Chattooga County Farm Bureau staff will lead a fun and interactive “tasty science experiment.” Participants will shake, shake, shake their way to delicious homemade ice cream, all created right inside a baggie.
