Five inmates at the Floyd County Prison are facing a litany of charges, including felony counts of aggravated assault and participation in criminal street gang activity, following a violent altercation involving multiple attackers and weapons in a dorm bathroom.

According to arrest warrants obtained by authorities, the incident began with a fight between 23-year-old Latrevious Jacqui Gilbert of Riverdale and another inmate in the bathroom area of Dorm 3.

Approximately 90 seconds later, the situation escalated dramatically when 27-year-old Randrick Jemarcus Paulhill of Atlanta and 23-year-old Marquez Talley of Montgomery, Alabama, entered the area and allegedly joined Gilbert in the assault on the victim.

The attack intensified as Paulhill reportedly placed the victim in a chokehold, while 39-year-old Robert Lee Dismuke of Atlanta began kicking the man. Dismuke then allegedly picked up a metal garbage can and struck the victim on the head.

As the fight appeared to be subsiding, 24-year-old Antonio Danty Williams of Milledgeville intervened, stabbing the victim with a homemade weapon. The attack resulted in a puncture wound to the victim’s head.

All five men – Latrevious Jacqui Gilbert, Randrick Jemarcus Paulhill, Marquez Talley, Robert Lee Dismuke, and Antonio Danty Williams – have been charged with unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution and participation in criminal street gang activity.

Paulhill, Talley, and Williams are additionally charged with aggravated assault. Williams also faces a felony count of possession of items prohibited for inmates, specifically related to the homemade weapon. Gilbert and Talley are facing additional battery charges.

The condition of the victim has not yet been released. The accused inmates remain in custody at the Floyd County Prison, awaiting further legal proceedings.
